Porcelain Veneers
When you’re considering your options for dental veneer material, feldspathic and lithium-disilicate porcelain veneers rise to the top of the list for quality. These are a more permanent cosmetic option when teeth are damaged or stained, and they typically last 10-13 years before needing to be repaired or replaced.
Teeth need to be minimally prepared prior to veneer placement so we can correct the shape. This includes the removal of enamel to make room for the veneers.
While they are a bit pricier than composite resin restorations, the benefits of porcelain over composite resin are plentiful.
Porcelain veneers are:
- Stronger and last longer than composite resin or no prep veneers
- Resist staining better than other options
- Keep their color and natural appearance for longer
- Better than no prep veneers in cases where teeth have more severe amounts of damage or staining

Getting Started on dental veneers treatment at Project Dental
At your first appointment, we’ll conduct a thorough exam including an x-ray, photos, intraoral scan for a digital 3D impression, and a full review of your medical history.
You will then meet with Dr. Jang to go over your diagnosis and together discuss if dental veneers are a good option for you.
Once a course of treatment is selected, we’ll present a timeline and set expectations for results.
If porcelain veneers are selected as part of your treatment plan, the necessary enamel will be removed from the teeth prior to the digital impression being made.
Veneers will be custom-made to fit each of your teeth for a more natural-looking appearance.
At a future appointment, your veneers will be placed on your teeth. The fit and shape will be examined to confirm the aesthetics of the veneers before bonding them to your teeth.
