Immediate Implants at Project Dental
Immediate dental implants are a type of dental implant that allows for the placement of a dental implant and a temporary restoration in the same visit. They are a quick and convenient solution to missing teeth that can provide a natural-looking smile in just one day.
Dr. Jang will first determine whether immediate implants are the right solution for you. If you’re a candidate, we’ll use advanced technology to create a precise and accurate implant placement and place the implant and temporary restoration on the same day.
If you recently lost a tooth, it’s better to act quickly. The best time to place an immediate implant is during the first few days after missing a tooth since the gum hasn’t grown all the way down into the socket yet. Over time, the implant will fuse with your jawbone, providing a permanent, stable foundation for your new tooth.
Getting started with immediate implants
At your first visit, we’ll take x-rays, an intraoral scan for a digital 3D impression of your teeth, and CT scans if necessary to get a full review of your medical history.
Dr. Jang will then determine if you’re a candidate for immediate implants and discuss your treatment options.
If you decide to move forward with immediate implants, Dr. Jang will place the implant and temporary restoration during the same visit. This process involves the placement of a titanium post into the jawbone, followed by the attachment of a temporary tooth to the post.
Once the implant is placed, Dr. Jang will give you instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results.
